Who I Am

Overhauling Health was built from real life on the road—not theory, not trends, and not guesswork.

I’m a 20+ year professional truck driver who knows firsthand how demanding life behind the wheel can be. Long hours, irregular sleep, constant stress, boredom eating, and nonstop food noise are part of the job. For years, that lifestyle took its toll on my body. I was living with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, and like many drivers, I felt stuck in a cycle that seemed impossible to break.

But everything changed when I discovered the Proper Human Diet and Lifestyle.

By applying simple, ancestral nutrition principles and sustainable lifestyle changes that actually work on the road, I was able to regain control of my health. My blood sugar stabilized, my energy skyrocketed, my sleep improved, and the constant battle with cravings and food noise faded away. Even more surprising were the ripple effects—clearer thinking, better focus, and a renewed sense of purpose.

That transformation didn’t just make me healthier—it made me a better driver, husband, father, and leader.

Driven by the desire to help others escape the same struggles, I went on to become a certified Proper Human Diet (PHD) Health Coach through the Proper Human Diet Health Coaching Academy, founded by Dr. Ken Berry. Today, I work as an extension of his mission—bringing real, practical health coaching to people who need it most, especially those who live and work on the road.

Overhauling Health exists to serve truck drivers and everyday people who are tired of being told that poor health is just “part of the job” or “part of getting older.” It’s not.

If I can reclaim my health after decades on the road, so can you—and I’m here to help guide you every mile of the way.

What I Do

What is a Health Coach—and Why Might You Need One?

A health coach is not a doctor, and not someone who hands you a strict plan and tells you what to do. A health coach is someone who walks alongside you—helping you understand your habits, your patterns, and what’s actually getting in the way of your health. Instead of quick fixes or one-size-fits-all diets, health coaching focuses on building simple, sustainable changes that fit your real life.

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what’s healthy—they struggle because life gets in the way. Busy schedules, long work hours, stress, inconsistent routines, and years of trial-and-error can make it hard to stay on track. That’s where a health coach comes in. We help you slow things down, get clear on what matters most to you, and take practical steps forward without overwhelm.

In my approach, we focus on real food, simple habits, and consistency over perfection. Especially for those living on the road or working demanding jobs, the goal isn’t to create a “perfect plan”—it’s to build a way of eating and living that actually works in your environment. We work together to identify what’s realistic, what’s sustainable, and what moves the needle for your energy, weight, and overall health.

You might benefit from a health coach if you feel stuck, frustrated, or tired of starting over. If you’ve tried diets that didn’t last, struggled with energy levels, or want to take control of your metabolic health but don’t know where to begin, having someone in your corner can make all the difference. This isn’t about being told what to do—it’s about having guidance, support, and accountability as you build something that lasts.

At the end of the day, a health coach is a partner in your journey. Someone who helps you connect the dots, stay consistent, and move forward with clarity and confidence—one step at a time.

If this sounds like something you’ve been needing, the next step is simple. Fill out the discovery call form on my homepage, and we’ll have a short, no-pressure conversation to see if working together feels like the right fit for you.
